These turfgrasses are optimal for the circumstances at Kungsbacka Golfklubb because:
Poa Annua is the natural grass in this area. Due to weather situations, especially cold winter and a lot of snow, the green will be rebuilt with krypven. It has been shown that, for example the short roots of Poa Annua can not handle the cold winters and that krypven or similar is better. The greens with Poa Annua shows areas where no grass grows when the cold releases. It appears that on the greens where there is krypven it is likely to Poa Annua to take over.

Environmental Quality
Water analysis are performed by Bengt Andersson, who is a teacher in water analysis in ponds, streams, etc..at a school in Gothenburg. The golf club started with water sampling in 2004.
When the machine hall was built it was constructed with a water treatment plant where the water is recycled and purified with pine bark after the oil separator and then discharged into the ponds.
The golf club builded in 2008 a treatment plant for waste water where the effluent is treated using membrane technology (HUBER Solutions). The purified water is released subsequently to the ponds.
Waste and hazardous waste, are taken care by a waste management company, Renova. Renova has a total contract for taken care of the waste from the club. Agreement was signed in 2010 and before that there were agreements with Ragn-Sells.
