Russ earned a masters in biological sciences from the University of Missouri with an emphasis on landscape ecology. He has 17 years experience in the assessment, design, and oversight of applied ecology in natural and human-managed environments. Russ has managed over 150 projects in 26 US states and 17 countries and territories in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Europe, and North America. He was involved with every Audubon International Silver and Gold Signature project certified or recertified during 2000-2011.

Russ focuses on working closely with golf superintendents and club managers in evaluating their sustainability goals. Mr. Bodie’s expertise comes through active research and scientific publication and experience in field assessments in varied desert, forest, freshwater and marine environments. He holds continuing education certifications in urban tree preservation; erosion prevention and sediment control inspection and the use of GIS and GPS technology for spatial information management.
